PLEASE  NOTE:  The climbing season starts in the 1st week of July.  Climbing Mt. Fuji is NOT casual hiking.  It is intense if you want to climb to the summit to see the sunrise. If you are looking for something less intense and do not want to climb to the summit, there are local buses and tour buses that will take you to the 5th station of the mountain, and you can hike around there.
