Math & English Placement 

SBCC uses high school coursework and grades for placement into Math & English courses that are not English as a Second Language courses. This data is collected as part of the . If you mis-reported your high school data on your application, please email a copy of your transcript to assessment@pipeline.sbcc.edu to see if your placement levels need to be updated. 

Important: Dual Enrollment Students seeking to take SBCC classes with Math and/or English prerequisites need to have their high school counselor submit the appropriate Counselor Form For Student Placement on the Dual Enrollment website

To look up your Math and English placements:

  1. Log onto your account
  2. Find the Class Registration and Schedule card at the top row of cards of the Dashboard
    • On desktop: Put your mouse over the card and the menu items will show
    • On mobile: Tap the card and the menu will show
  3. From the menu select 鈥淪tudent Records"
    • On desktop: The student Records screen will show in a separate window or tab
    • On mobile: The Student Records screen will appear with a back item in the upper left corner
  4. Click on VIEW COURSE PLACEMENT AND ELIGIBILITY

If we don't have a placement for you, click on the HIGH SCHOOL DATA FORM (link in campus portal) to submit the information required for placement. Here are .

ESL Assessment
