Both types of courses are taught by SBCC Faculty who participated in the 搁补铆肠别蝉 Faculty Institute and are committed to the Community of Practice/Aspiriciones de Crecimiento of the 搁补铆肠别蝉 program.

鈥湼椴姑Ρ鸩� Supported鈥� courses are open to all students and our program advisors, academic counselors, and colegas work with the instructor of the course to ensure 搁补铆肠别蝉 scholars have the support needed to be successful.

鈥淟earning Colectiva鈥� courses are 鈥渓earning community鈥� courses which means they are open to 搁补铆肠别蝉 scholars and offer an opportunity to strengthen your relationships with other 搁补铆肠别蝉 scholars.

Why enroll in a 搁补铆肠别蝉 Supported course?

Our 搁补铆肠别蝉 supported courses offer the opportunity to engage with students from the board SBCC community, including but not limited to 搁补铆肠别蝉 scholars.

Why enroll in a Learning Colectiva course?

Research has shown that learning community courses enhance students' sense of belonging, improve academic performance and persistence, and increase student engagement. By focusing on a specific cohort of students, learning communities intentionally connect them to one another and to faculty in meaningful ways.

IMPORTANT: All of our 鈥湼椴姑Ρ鸩� Supported鈥� or 鈥淟earning Colectiva鈥� courses meet SBCC GE, CSU GE, and IGETC/CALGETC requirements.
